John joined IG Wealth Management in 1983 after four years with a major Canadian bank. During that time, John has been a Division Director, Regional Director and returned to the Consultant role in 1995.

He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® designation from the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning in 1995. In June 2002, he earned the Certified Divorce Specialist designation from the College for Divorce Specialists (Colorado, USA). His primary focus lies in retirement tax and estate planning. John qualified for IG President’s Club¹ 15 times from 1997-2015, President's Elite² in 2016, and President's Academy³ in 2017.

John was born and raised in Peterborough, where he lives with his wife Andrea and their four children.
